Some of the items listed in your home inspection report may overlap, such as bathrooms and plumbing, exteriors and
structures, and so
on. The
interior section includes any visible and accessible area of the inside of your home that is not
dealt with in the other categories. For example, settling can be noticed in the
floors and walls, and your inspector will record and evaluate this condition. Roof
or plumbing leaks may have caused staining on the ceilings, or there may be signs of
abnormal condensation in the structure. A representative sampling of doors and
windows are tested for hardware, operation and fit. Flaws in surface finishes will
be listed for future touch-up or repair. Steps, stairways, railings and balconies will be
examined and safety hazards will be prominently stated. |
