The mechanical systems of
the dwelling are designed to provide a comfortable and safe living environment. Each
system has many components, and there are a wide variety of systems in use. The home
inspection will provide an overview of the type and condition of the heating and/or
cooling installations, including fuels and exchange mediums. The supply, drain, and
fixture aspects of the plumbing system will be covered. And attention will be given
to the electrical service cable, distribution panel, branch wiring, and outlet
receptacles.
